MELEE exists for the purpose of studying and exercising martial combat skills as well as the artistic endeavors associated with the Ancient World, Middle Ages, and Renaissance.

MELEE's origin dates back to 1982 when a band of teenagers assembled under the name of "Stickfytes"© in a residential front yard. In 1988 the founders changed it's name to "MELEE" which stands for
Martial Enactment League Enabling Expression©.

MELEE is a not-for-profit organization that actively promotes charitable pursuits amongst its citizenry.
